constantly connected
Sometimes it's nice to be able to walk for a bit without worrying if any of the spots between point A and point B are wi-fi enabled, or how the cell signal is in that area. I went for a walk today. Nearly every car I saw had someone with either a cellphone to their ear or a bluetooth headset. Everyone was listening to music from their cd players with ipod integration and the monthly subscription to either xm or sirius radio. What a world we live in, where children on one side of the country are born knowing what a laptop is or how to configure a wireless network, and kids on the other side of the country aren't getting enough to eat. Where Mr. such and such has a Blackberry glued to his hand like some sort of life support device, while Mr. this and that is having his home forclosed by the bank.
This is quite an age of parallels.
